Job description

A well-established company that is building social impact initiatives for the most underprivileged populations in developing nations, is looking for an AWS DevOps Engineer. The engineer will be in charge of keeping track of all systems, procedures, and infrastructure configurations. The U.S.-based company's transformation carbon programs assist vulnerable communities all around the world while significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions. So far, the company has managed to secure $148mn+ in funding. This position requires 6+ hours of overlap with the PST time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Debug and resolve problems as they occur by collaborating closely with engineering teams
  • Work on infrastructure development, deployment, monitoring, and other tasks for the majority of the time
  • Organize and implement infrastructure capacity planning, upgrades, and monitoring activities with the team
  • Monitor and resolve system and application problems to ensure high availability

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as an AWS DevOps Engineer
  • Demonstrable experience working with AWS Lambda, AWS, and Terraform
  • Prolific experience with AWS infrastructure and API gateway
  • Solid understanding of AWS Cognito and EC2 is desirable
  • Must be a strong learner and eager to expand their knowledge-base
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
