Senior Back-End Software Engineer

A U.S.-based company that is on a mission to build a more equitable workplace across the globe is looking for a Senior Back-End Software Engineer. The engineer will be tasked with ensuring that the new feature implementations meet the requirements of an expanding engineering organization while putting an emphasis on securing coding techniques and maintainability. The company provides world-class technology and services that help businesses to measure and prove their workplace equitability. The company has managed to secure $82mn+ during their Series C round of funding. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop high-caliber platforms and applications
• Utilize reliable and trustworthy software engineering practices to guarantee that the products will make a significant contribution to help businesses achieve workplace fairness
• Design and develop small to medium-sized features and services that are delivered to the end users in collaboration with senior and staff engineers
• Implement practical, scalable solutions that will expand the company
• To ensure that back-end projects fulfill all team requirements, collaborate with the whole engineering organization, including the front-end, product, QA, and site reliability teams

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
• Working knowledge of trustworthy, effective, scalable, and maintainable cloud-based technology platforms
• Extensive experience building web applications with Golang
• Demonstrable experience designing cloud-based apps like GCP
• Proficient working knowledge of data models and schema design 
• Extensive experience working with PostgreSQL, Redis, Cloud PubSub, or related technologies
• Solid understanding of API architecture and practical building expertise
• Prior experience with modern testing techniques, particularly unit testing
• Ability to interact with both technical and non-technical teams requires good communication skills
• Experience working in a highly collaborative atmosphere with cross-functional teams
• Excellent conversational and written English communication skills
