A large banking organization migrates with near-zero downtime

How does a large banking organization bring their critical applications to the cloud?

They enlist Turing Cloud Services to migrate their enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, client relationship management (CRM) system, and business intelligence (BI) tools.

Turing case study: A large banking organization migrates with near-zero downtime
Background

Background

This large banking organization client had a datacenter they were looking to decommission—migrating all of their on-premises IT to the cloud. Their IT team were facing challenges with hardware and software upgrades to their legacy systems and experienced extended downtimes which hurt business operations.

The challenge

The challenge

To minimize disruption to their daily operations, the client wanted near-zero downtime with the migration. They needed a deep assessment and strategy that ensured their customers would experience the lowest period of downtime possible.

The solution

The solution

Turing Cloud Services explored a cloud foundation setup in AWS and identified gaps to be remedied before migration. With the applications and data identified for migration, non-critical applications were migrated first, followed by critical applications, to AWS. This included their enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, client relationship management (CRM) system, and business intelligence (BI) tools—alongside their database and servers.

The result

The result

With Turing Cloud Services, the client had near-zero downtime for their migration and a successful decommission of their legacy infrastructure.
