Interview Transcription FAQ

What is this?

Turing is piloting text-based transcription for client conversations. With your approval, we’ll generate a transcript to help your team and ours stay aligned during kickoff, calibration, and feedback discussions.

Why are you doing this?

To reduce friction and follow-up across teams. With transcription:

  • Everyone can stay focused on the conversation
  • Your team and Turing can reference key decisions or details later
  • Follow-ups are faster and more accurate

Turing uses the following consent model:

  1. Email: Our Account Execulatives will explain the use of transcription and obtain your consent before proceeding
  2. Calendar notice: Every meeting invite includes a transcription notice
  3. Verbal cue: Your Turing representative will remind participants at the start of the call

You or anyone on the call can opt out at any time, and we’ll continue without transcription.

How is the data stored?

All transcripts are:

  • Generated from audio, but only the text is stored (no video or screen recordings)
  • Stored for 45 days, then automatically deleted
  • Secured using AES-256 encryption
  • Hosted in SOC 2-compliant environments

Who can access the transcript?

Access is limited to:

  • Your company–upon request
  • The Turing representative on the call
  • Turing’s internal talent operations and program teams

Transcripts are never shared with candidates or other parties.

What if we’d prefer not to use transcription?

No problem. You can:

  • Reply No thanks to the opt-in email
  • Let your AE know directly
  • Or ask your Turing Operations Specialist (TOS) to skip transcription for a specific call

We’ll continue the meeting with no transcript in those cases.
