Job description

A fast-growing company building on prior MIT research and turning external data into an X-ray of competitors and clients is looking for a Senior Cloud AI/ML Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for utilizing deep experience and problem-solving skills to help prevent and resolve production issues. The company specializes in harnessing the power of technology to turn first-class research into real-world value. This will be a long-term position requiring some overlap with the EST/PST time zone. 

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Comprehensively understand the data lifecycle and use concepts to solve complex problems
  • Build robust, scalable, and well-maintained stacks
  • Plan, design, and execute end-to-end infrastructure
  • Assess team effort and carry on an agreed schedule 
  • Work on a cross-functional team to implement and understand solutions 

Job Requirements:

  • Master’s/PhD degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a cloud engineer
  • Extensive experience in AWS DevOps, Python, CI/CD, ML, and Terraform is required 
  • Nice to have experience in complex SQL 
  • Demonstrable experience working with large scale data engineering 
  • Prior experience working in the finance domain is nice to have 
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience working in the software development industry
  • A minimum of 4 years of DevOps experience with AWS is required
  • Have a proven track record of delivering Cloud-Native, data-driven solutions on a major cloud provider
  • Working knowledge of DevOps toolchains including CI/CD, Containers, Infrastructure as Code, and Cloud-Native architectures
  • Experience with enterprise security and compliance is a plus
  • Solid understanding of cloud and enterprise networking technologies 
  • Prior experience integrating with existing authentication and protocols like SSO, LDAP, and external enterprise systems
  • Experience working in a SOC 2 or ISO 27001 environment
  • Demonstrable experience building ETL pipelines and deploying ML models
