Job description

A U.S.-based company that is determined to revitalize the financial industry with their best-in-class technology is looking for an SDET Back-End Automation Engineer. The engineer will be in charge of reviewing test case coverage in the test management tool on a regular basis and keep it updated. The company is building the future of finance with their digital banking services. The company has managed to secure $370mn+ in funding so far. This position requires 4-6+ hours of overlap with the IST/EAT time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Include the execution of automated tests in the software development process
  • Work together with the team leader and other important stakeholders to plan the rollout
  • Take ownership of the development and monitoring of post-production metrics
  • In order to further improve the caliber of the product, assist and work together with cross-functional teams (Product, Data, Credit, and Business Development) to find automation opportunities
  • Maintain, review, suggest, and put into practice modifications to the current frameworks, tools, and procedures
  • Take charge of the needs specifications and give prompt, valuable input

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • 2+ years of experience in building test tools and frameworks using Java/Groovy/Kotlin/Scala/Python, Jenkins or similar CI-CD tools, Shell Scripting, Linux/ Mac OSX for either back-end or front-end services
  • Prior experience working as a QA automation engineer
  • Extensive experience working with microservice automation
  • In-depth knowledge of application functions, bug fixing, and testing protocols
  • Experience working with BDD testing paradigm and one of the Behavior Driven Testing frameworks like Cucumber, Spock or JBehave
  • Prior experience working in an Agile development process (Scrum/ Kanban/ Scrumban)
  • Exceptional analytical and time-management skills
  • Excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written
