Job description

A U.S.-based company that is determined to revitalize the financial industry with their best-in-class technology is looking for an SDET Back-End Automation Engineer. The engineer will be in charge of reviewing test case coverage in the test management tool on a regular basis and keep it updated. The company is building the future of finance with their digital banking services. The company has managed to secure $370mn+ in funding so far. This position requires 4-6+ hours of overlap with the IST/EAT time zone.

Job Responsibilities:

Include the execution of automated tests in the software development process
Work together with the team leader and other important stakeholders to plan the rollout
Take ownership of the development and monitoring of post-production metrics
In order to further improve the caliber of the product, assist and work together with cross-functional teams (Product, Data, Credit, and Business Development) to find automation opportunities
Maintain, review, suggest, and put into practice modifications to the current frameworks, tools, and procedures
Take charge of the needs specifications and give prompt, valuable input

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
2+ years of experience in building test tools and frameworks using Java/Groovy/Kotlin/Scala/Python, Jenkins or similar CI-CD tools, Shell Scripting, Linux/ Mac OSX for either back-end or front-end services
Prior experience working as a QA automation engineer
Extensive experience working with microservice automation
In-depth knowledge of application functions, bug fixing, and testing protocols
Experience working with BDD testing paradigm and one of the Behavior Driven Testing frameworks like Cucumber, Spock or JBehave
Prior experience working in an Agile development process (Scrum/ Kanban/ Scrumban)
Exceptional analytical and time-management skills
Excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written
