Job description

A fast scaling stealth start up is building a new kind of retailer that uses distributed warehousing to enable a much better & faster customer experience.

As part of the development of this company, they are looking for a Optimization Engineer to build a “simulation” / optimization model that helps them understand the key drivers of the business (where inventory should be placed, how routing of orders works, etc) with the goal of understanding profitability per order. This is a great opportunity for developers who enjoy taking on challenges and working with world-class technologies.

Job Responsibilities:

Help the team and company to fulfill the goal of understanding profitability per order
Deliver scalable products from the roadmap while also improving user experience
Debug and resolve technical issues
Analyze existing infrastructure and recommend improvements

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
Prior experience building optimization/simulation models/systems
Extensive experience working with Python
Nice to have some experience working with ML/AI/DS in the area of supply chain management or transportation management
Fluent in conversational and written English
