DevOps GCP Engineer

A U.S.-based company that is developing cutting-edge technological and audiovisual products and services is looking for a DevOps GCP Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for data engineering projects to guarantee the quick and easy delivery of new features and upgrades. Job Responsibilities:

• To ensure the effective deployment and operation of data processing and analytics systems, collaborate closely with the teams responsible for data engineering and software development
• Create, deploy, and maintain scalable and dependable infrastructure on GCP for workloads involving data engineering and analytics
• Develop effective data pipelines by working with software developers and data engineers
• Automate and streamline the installation and operation of data engineering and analytics software and services on the GCP
• Work with the operations team to track down, analyze, and fix infrastructure and performance problems

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a DevOps Engineer
• Prolific experience working with the Google Cloud Platform
• Demonstrable knowledge and experience with Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Solid experience with data engineering tools 
• Proficient comprehension of Python-based automation and scripting
• Extensive knowledge of setting up and maintaining data engineering pipeline infrastructure on GCP
• Demonstrable experience working with GCP services, including MLOps deployment on Vertex AI, and applications in data engineering and analytics
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools, such as Terraform or Deployment Manager
• Demonstrable experience with other cloud platforms like AWS and Azure
• Strong understanding of CI/CD procedures and tools like Jenkins and Git
• Working knowledge of multi-cloud environments
• Familiarity with code review procedures and version control systems like Git
• Nice to have some Google Cloud certifications, such as Google Cloud Certified - Professional, Cloud DevOps Engineer or Google Cloud Certified - Data Engineer
• Familiarity with Jenkins is preferred
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
