Job description

The selected candidate will be responsible for processing optimization and automation, problem tracking, and modifying the documents. Job Responsibilities:

  • AWS RDS instance management for SQL Server databases
  • Configure and keep up database processes for applications
  • Knowledge of the logging, monitoring, database health, and performance features of SQL Server
  • Work with developers to offer suggestions for improving schema and query optimization
  • Process improvement and automation, issue tracking, and change documentation
  • Real-time problem-solving and correction analysis
  • Perform after-hours scheduled maintenance and support activities for release deployment of important production systems

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • 5+ years of SQL Server database-related experience
  • Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (Execution plans)
  • Experience with databases, SQL, and ETL processes
  • Comfortable adapting to changing business situations and priorities
  • Experience with backups restores and recovery models
  • Experience working in the following clouds AWS, Azure, and Snowflake is a plus
  • Developing and maintaining code in AWS Glue and AWS Athena is nice to have
  • Developing and writing SQL code is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Process-oriented, great follow-through skills, and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills as the team will be working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in English
