Job description

An NYSE-listed company that has established themselves as the industry leader in the pharmaceutical and medical research sector is looking for a Cloud Data Architect. The selected candidate will be working with a wide range of systems and technologies while solving problems from end to end. Job Responsibilities:

  • Participate in technical decisions, review code and implementations 
  • Provide feedback assisting the team in building better solutions
  • Drive technology direction and choices of technologies by making recommendations based on experience and research
  • Work with a detail-oriented attitude with abstract thinking and a problem-solving mindset

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant data engineering/architecture experience 
  • At least 5+ years of experience as a Cloud-native Data Architect 
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in setting up ETL / ELT pipelines
  • Demonstrable experience in building data ingestion pipelines
  • Hands-on experience using design best practices in data modeling and file formats
  • Prior experience working in a public cloud environment, especially in Azure, and integration with on-prem/hybrid cloud infrastructure 
  • Prolific experience with integration APIs
  • Expertise in working with analytical databases
  • Extensive experience building Spark-based ETLs in tools such as Azure Databricks
  • Working experience preparing and pre-processing datasets for data science efforts
  • Proficient with SQL
  • Solid understanding of data related to healthcare and supply chain verticals
  • Strong interpersonal skills and fluency in English to communicate with different teams
  • Nice to have knowledge of Statistics 
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
