Job description

An NYSE-listed company that offers individuals and companies supplemental disability insurance services is looking for a Cloud Automation Engineer. The selected candidate will help customers with onboarding and operations management via automation. The company offers a wide range of product offerings, including cancer, accidents, disability, and long-term-care insurance. This role requires at least 8 hours overlap with the ET time zone. 

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Contribute ideas on improving the development process to deliver efficient results
  • Work actively on building and delivering the core product
  • Ensure completed projects meet and exceed the goals set by the company
  • Drive developments and solutions leveraging cloud and other open source technologies
  • Work with the engineering team to maintain code quality assurance and perform code reviews

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of experience working as a Cloud Automation Engineer
  • Demonstrable experience working with AWS CDK, Cloud formation, Terraform, and Python
  • Nice to have some knowledge of IaC coding 
  • Prior experience working with API Integration and infrastructure tools like Jfrog, Prisma, Security tools, and ServiceNow is desirable
  • Experience in automated unit tests and implementing reusable, resilient, and scalable code
  • Strong experience in cloud automation and development
  • Solid experience working on CICD pipeline on Cloud management platforms
  • Experience with automated build and release management processes for CI/CD
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Extensive experience working in an AWS cloud environment
  • Develop solutions to globally scale for cloud deployment and consumption
  • Nice to have some certifications in AWS Cloud
