Job description

A US-based company that built a high-growth tech platform to support and optimize regulated drugs, devices, and software is looking for an Engineering Manager. The selected candidate will mentor and grow engineers while keeping them engaged and focused on the product and company vision. The platform is trusted for its regulated digital health products, including apps, algorithms, medical devices, diagnostics, and Software as a Medical Device (SaMD). The engineer will join the team to help set and fulfill the engineering hiring plan, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and developing inclusive teams where people are empowered to do the best work of their careers.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Partner with peers in Product Management & Design to craft and evolve the team’s vision, mission, and strategy
  • Implement effective engineering processes, metrics, policies, and policies that emphasize quality and forward progress
  • Manage a full-stack team including mobile, web, and back-end engineers

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4+ years of relevant experience serving in an engineering management role
  • Expertise in shipping customer-facing products
  • At least 8 years of hands-on software development experience
  • Strong organizational skills to implement in your work as an individual and within the team
  • Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to weigh several and often conflicting constraints and make rapid choices in a fast-moving and quickly-growing company
  • Experience working on large-scale distributed systems
