Job description

A fast-growing company that manufactures electric self-drive vehicles to deliver local goods, is looking for a Vehicle Security Engineer. The engineer will be working closely with a team of entrepreneurs and engineers, designers, and scientists to create desired outcomes. As an engineer, you will be responsible for auditing and improving the security of the company’s autonomous vehicles. Strong knowledge of system security and understanding of mitigating or redesigning a system is required for this position. The company is on a mission to make everyday life easier through robotics and building meaningful products with this technology. It is backed by leading Silicon Valley investors and has raised a fund of over $1.5bn so far. Job Responsibilities:

  • Audit and improve the security of the company’s autonomous vehicles
  • Assess embedded and mixed hardware/software systems for security vulnerabilities
  • Provide expert guidance on remediation for discovered issues
  • Implement the guidance and suggestions when appropriate
  • Expand your skills, and work with a fast-paced team


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • Proficiency in C/C++/Python
  • Experience in security-related aspects of hardware design, embedded security, operating systems, networking protocols, applied cryptography
  • Experience with automotive systems, especially autonomous vehicles
  • Background in machine learning systems
  • Experience in shipping hardware products
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate complex interaction concepts and risks clearly and persuasively
