Job description

A fast-scaling startup that is looking to revolutionize the fresh-produce supply chain through cutting-edge technology, is looking to hire a UI Web Developer. Once selected, the candidate will take ownership of expounding the company mission while creating responsive applications that can improve user interaction and drive engagement. The company sources fresh produce directly from farmers and supplies them to businesses country-wide. This company has successfully raised over $365 million in their series D funding round. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and improve the existing application and build exciting user-facing features
  • Write clean and reusable code; build code libraries for future use
  • Maintain brand consistency and high-quality standards while ensuring all UI/UX designs are technically feasible 
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, UX designers, and back-end engineers to understand front-end requirements and implement solutions, accordingly 
  • Ensure all applications and optimized to be highly-scalable
  • Make use of secure coding practices in order to avoid XSS, CSRF vulnerabilities 
  • Partake in review activities, analyze code and designs to build robust applications

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 6+ years of relevant experience as a UI Web Developer
  • Minimum 3 years of experience and thorough understanding of React/JavaScript (ES6)
  • In-depth knowledge of CSS preprocessors, webpack, react-redux architecture, and Redux-Saga
  • Previous experience working in a product-based environment
  • Familiarity with the network layer, HTTP, HTTPS, cookies, and local storage 
  • Strong command over computer science fundamentals such as object-oriented design and algorithms
  • Good knowledge of design frameworks and UX patterns for web
  • Some understanding of micro front-end technologies would be a plus
  • A startup mindset, and the ability to think strategically
  • Great problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to learn new things and adopt new standards
  • Great English communication skills
