Technical Front-End Lead

A US-based company developing a cross-platform framework that will provide customers with enhanced network interfaces, deeper system integration, and faster runtime performance is looking for a Technical Front-End Lead. The engineer will be in charge of successfully leading projects within the team and contributing regular innovative ideas to scale the platform. The company is dedicated to providing an exceptional API experience and is pushing the web-based application software paradigm to new heights. Job Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the other lead engineers, senior company managers, product and design teams to achieve the company’s mission
• Be at the forefront of the engineer's development efforts 
• Collaborate with desktop engineers to provide APIs that function across all browsers and electron desktop systems
• Work on complex web build pipelines, which includes creating custom Webpack plugins and experimenting with cutting-edge technologies like ESbuild
• Use powerful browser-specific APIs and enable applications to integrate with the browsers seamlessly 
• Design and deploy performance-related tooling to assist the teams in boosting the web application
• Write and maintain succinct, clear technical documentation for system designs and execution
• Perform regular code reviews and guide team members through their technical growth

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 5+ years of experience building large-scale applications 
• Extensive experience working with JavaScript and Typescript on the web
• 2+ years of experience designing and maintaining front-end libraries used by other developers
• Prior experience in improving the front-end web performance, security, and reliability for large scale single-page applications
• Experience with WebAssembly, Service Workers, PWAs, and other cutting-edge browser technology is nice to have
• Proficient with OS, networking, and software design
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Nice to have some experience developing desktop applications with web technologies using frameworks such as Electron.js or NW.js
• Experience in open-source front-end frameworks (React.js and Angular.js) or tooling experience with Webpack, Babel, and Browserify is desirable
