Technical Back-End Lead

A leading, US-based company building a platform to make API development easier with the help of their advanced features and collaboration tools is looking for a Technical Back-End Lead. The developer will be tasked with providing thought leadership while mentoring and guiding other developers to build cloud competencies. The company's goal is to develop solutions and tools to make API testing easier for use on cross-platform frameworks. Job Responsibilities:

• Participate in on-boarding, mentoring, and off-boarding developers
• Be at the forefront of the engineer's development efforts, spread out across diverse environments
• Perform code reviews and guide team members through their technical growth
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team of passionate engineers to build and maintain microservices
• Participate in all phases of the AWS solution development, from the strategy planning down to testing and quality assurance
• Maintain, write, and optimize technical documentation for system designs and execution that are clear and succinct
• Troubleshoot problems, determine root issues, correct and document errors, and implement preventive measures 
• Manage and own the microservices roadmap and SLAs for the team

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 5+ years of experience building large-scale web applications
• 2+ years of experience designing and maintaining the platform or foundational services used by other developers
• Extensive experience working with AWS infrastructure
• Experience with high-level programming languages like Node.js, PHP, Python, Ruby, and Go
• Track record of boosting performance, security, and authenticity for large scale SPAs
• Profound skills in algorithms, databases, networking, and distributed system, along with AWS certifications 
• Experience designing web distribution layer for large-scale single-page web applications is nice to have
• Prior experience with designing server-side rendering services and SEO infrastructure is desirable
• Experience building databases with highly scalable architectures is nice to have
• Nice to have some experience managing infrastructure at scale - DNS routers, CDNs, load balancers, firewalls, and other compute, storage & network services
