Job description

A Silicon Valley-based company helping businesses to secure and govern their data in the cloud is looking for a TechLead Platform Engineer. As an engineer, you will join the platform team to help build comprehensive and simple security solutions for the modern data cloud. The company channels its efforts in delivering enterprise data security and governance across all data services such as S3, Snowflake, Kafka, MongoDB, Oracle, and more. It has raised over $40mn in funding from leading investors. The candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead and drive initiatives, and mentor junior engineers.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop of core product features 
  • Work closely with the team and collaborate with cross-functional teams to introduce, build, own and enhance product capabilities
  • Bring in the best practices for software development and hold a high bar for quality 
  • Offer key inputs on specific design choices 
  • Estimate and plan the feature delivery
  • Actively participate in the continuous improvement of process and tools that aid the engineering productivity
  • Tackle customer issues and go the extra mile to please them
  • Handle several competing priorities in a fast-paced agile environment

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 7+ years of relevant experience with Golang/Java and Python or relevant technologies
  • Core competence in system architecture, data structures, and algorithms
  • Track record of working with microservices architecture with REST API and gRPC based interfaces
  • Highly proficient with SQL and/or NoSQL databases
  • Good knowledge of AWS and Azure and deployment tools such as Terraform, Cloudformation, Helm, etc.
  • Familiarity with building systems at scale or distributed computing environments
  • Excellent analytical skills and expertise in troubleshooting
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
