Job description

A fast-growing company on a mission to make it possible for businesses to develop top-notch Search and Discovery experiences by putting APIs first, is looking for a Staff Machine Learning Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for enhancing the performance and responsiveness of the application. The U.S.-based company is helping businesses to create world-class dynamic digital experiences for customers. During their Series D round of funding, the company raised over $300mn+ in funding. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for managing technical implementations of semantic search pilots while working with a team to bring the validated semantic search into production
  • Perform research and build the fail-safe approach for blending textual and semantic search results
  • Work on building semantic search models well-suited for a range of customers in different verticals and languages
  • Collaborate with the team to bring the validated semantic search into production

Job Requirements:

  • Masters or higher in Computer Science with a focus on Information Retrieval (or ML as a bonus)
  • Previous experience in a Machine Learning engineer role
  • At least 10+ years experience in ML with a minimum of 5 years experience working on search
  • Relevant industry experience is highly preferred
  • Ability to put search or ML into production with significant traffic as a lead or senior contributor in the team
  • Iterated on models over time and with the ability to keep software up in production while working with constraints
  • Previous experience in tech leadership positions will be an advantage
  • Existing portfolio of published and/or presented research is required
  • Excellent English communication skills
