Job description

A fast-emerging company that has created a performance platform that augments and automates human labor via voice and digital engagement channels is looking for a Staff Data Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for creating procedures for detecting and resolving errors and difficulties before they become problems. The company is on a quest to create transformative machine learning-powered solutions that exceed the limits of machine learning and customer experience. The company has managed to raise over $350 mn in funding. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and install solutions to improve the mission-critical production data flow and warehouse
  • Recognize data flow patterns and generalizations in order to automate as much as possible and boost productivity
  • Increase the logging, monitoring, and data gathering of the company
  • Create mechanisms for detecting and resolving faults and anomalies before they become problems
  • Learn how to make the required sacrifices to ship without compromising quality

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Experience with infrastructure tools like AWS, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Terraform, and/or general automation/alerting/monitoring/security 
  • Experience with Kafka
  • Familiarity with Scala, Java, or Kotlin; Tuning, running, dependency management), Python 3+, GoLang, and SQL
  • Experience using Scala, Airflow, Spark, SpringBoot, HazelCast, or Flink is nice to have
  • Proficiency in English
