Job description

A US-based company providing a digital collectibles marketplace is looking for a Server API Developer. The developer will join the team to maintain as well as add new features to a REST-based API for Android, iOS and web clients. The digital collectibles marketplace is home to more than 7 million digital collectors, 2.1 billion individually-serialized limited-edition items, and more than 325 of the world’s most beloved brands. Candidates who would like to work in an ecosystem that include NFTs and other blockchain features and are willing to contribute to defining, building as well as shipping inventive, liquidity-boosting marketplace functionalities are strongly suitable for this role. The job requires a minimum overlap of 6-8 hours with the EST.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and add new features to a REST-based API for Android, iOS and web clients for a digital collectibles application
  • Write scalable, robust, efficient, and maintainable code
  • Collaborate with engineering professionals and product teams 
  • Work independently without a lot of hand-holding
  • Implement data protection practices

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience working as a server-side API developer
  • Highly proficient in Golang 1.13 or above
  • Knowledge of PostgreSQL and advanced SQL queries
  • Good understanding of REST API architecture
  • Understanding of cloud infrastructure, such as AWS
  • Experience working with concurrency and locking, and dealing with scalability bottlenecks
  • Must be fluent in English
