Job description

A US-based company that helps businesses grow faster and work smarter by leveraging cutting-edge technologies is looking for a Senior Web Back-End Engineer. The engineer will leverage a sound professional experience and deep understanding of technology to advance technical projects. The company focuses on empowering marketing, sales, and experience teams and enabling businesses to unleash their full potential through the purpose-built platform. This role requires an overlap with the CST time zone. The selected candidate will work full-time and long-term in the rapidly growing team.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Establish credibility with your team and facilitate a task’s entire lifecycle going from product requirements to deployment
  • Navigate ambiguity and adapt to a quickly changing environment
  • Discover solutions and solve seemingly difficult problems
  • Shine with engineering excellence by developing test infrastructures, writing documentation, ensuring high performance 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of professional development experience (Python preferred)
  • At least 3+ years of direct experience with database optimization techniques like indexing, clustering, and sharding
  • 3+ years of experience developing and managing enterprise-scale PostgreSQL implementations
  • 2+ years of experience managing development teams and communicating deadlines/goals with stakeholders
  • 2+ years developing on Django ORM and Django REST Framework
  • Exceptional collaboration, organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • Driven and self-motivated with a track record of hands-on development experience
  • Expertise in faceted search or other big data query technology (Elasticsearch, Solr, or, otherwise)
  • Expertise in Kafka or similar tech
  • Experience with data replication technologies/redundancy to ensure high availability and disaster recovery
  • Experience optimizing deployments on AWS
  • Demonstrable skills working with relational database schema and tools for management
  • Familiarity with data warehousing, business intelligence, and predictive analytics
