Job description

An emerging company building an innovative sports betting software to help users make smarter bets is looking for a Senior Web Back-End Developer. The selected candidate will be in charge of driving both the mission and technical direction within the organization. The company's sporting marketing and analytics technology enable users to compare the industry-leading bookmakers' real-time odds, lines, and spreads of major sports leagues. This will be a full-time, long-term role requiring some overlap with the EST time zone. 

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Contribute as a key stakeholder responsible for building end-to-end integration of external data sources, internal systems, and end products for the market and internal use
  • Build and manage data infrastructures, and API feeds dealing with massive streams of sports odds data
  • Utilize several types of data, both sports-related and financial (e.g., betting odds on a game)
  • Passing big data to a front-end with low latency to deliver high performance for the end-user (i.e.sports trader)
  • Build modeling pipelines to produce pre-match and in-play sports betting odds
  • Keep evolving current order flow management system, data profiling tools, and trading dashboards

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in web development 
  • solid understanding of big data analytics scheme development, including advanced approaches around machine learning
  • Should possess broad-based functional IT experience, including security and compliance (data and financial)
  • Experience in niches like sportsbooks, financial trading, and enterprise analytical tooling is desirable
  • An urge to work as a part of a startup where autonomy requires internal drive and being a self-starter
