Job description

A global platform building a content sharing platform that encourages engagement and belonging, enabling better user experiences, is looking for a Senior/Staff Software Engineer. The selected candidate will be tasked with implementing and maintaining agile methodologies while creating products. The company is striving to make its product an indispensable utility in creators’ daily lives for content creation and community building. During their Series F round, the company managed to raise more than $1.2bn in funding. This role will require some overlap with the PST time zone. 

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and other engineering colleagues to implement product and business strategy and create innovative products and features that our users will enjoy
  • Participate in all aspects of the development process, including technical design, development, testing, experimentation, analysis, and launch
  • Examine code and design documentation, and provide comments on product specifications and mockups
  • Lead a group of engineers who are thoughtful, fast-paced, and motivated
  • Set and define standards to optimize developer processes, promote best practices, and assist engineers in their professional development by coaching and mentoring them
  • Learn and enhance your technical and non-technical talents continuously

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3-8+ years of experience working as a software engineer
  • 3-8 years experience developing user-facing iOS mobile native applications at scale, using Swift
  • Demonstrable experience with Swift and Objective-C
  • Extensive experience working with Java, Python, Go, Rust, and C++
  • Possess an entrepreneurial spirit with a bias towards action 
  • Ability to build new things and thrive in ambiguity and even failure
  • Ability to tackle complex topics with technical and non-technical audiences
