Job description

A well established US-based firm is looking for a Senior/Staff Software Engineer. The engineer will be helping the existing team to build an efficient system that will be capable of processing millions of photos every month, and constantly improving the products and features. This is a great chance for the developer to gain some in-depth technical knowledge while working very closely with the CTO and the Director of Product. The company develops photo frames that allow users to remotely email digital photos to a Wi-Fi connected photo frame. This is a full time position and requires some time overlap with PST.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work on scaling the existing Ruby on Rails back-end resources 
  • Develop new and upgrade existing features 
  • Work closely with different teams to meet technical development deadlines
  • Assist in increasing growth and marketing efforts
  • Communicate and coordinate with cross-platform teams to streamline development

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 6 years or more experience as a software programmer
  • Professional experience with Ruby on Rails or Go at scale in production
  • Professional experience of working with Go, React, or Node.js
  • Ability to communicate with empathy and calmness
  • Must be of analytical and data-driven personality
  • Previous experience as an entrepreneur will be beneficial
  • A background in analytics will be an added advantage
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to speak clear English
