Job description

A fast-growing company establishing a transnational network to make real-time participation more accessible through live, engaging speech and video is looking for a Senior SRE/DevOps Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for writing code from the ground up using industry best practices and frameworks. To assist developers in delivering engaging experiences, the company leverages reliable cross-transmission of massive amounts of data across regions and network operators. This will be a full-time position requiring some overlap with the IST time zone.

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the internal CI/CD pipelines
  • Work on improving product reliability through automation, chaos testing, and process improvement
  • Ensure high service availability, performance, security, and maintainability
  • Debug production issues across services and stack levels
  • Investigate root causes using Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
  • Putting "Infrastructure as Code" into Practice
  • Using a data-driven approach, drive architectural changes across the product
  • Desire to learn and improve your technical skills by reading code, documentation, running experiments, and conversing with coworkers

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure
  • Container, Docker, and Kubernetes expertise is a must
  • Experience creating and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Spinnaker, and Gitlab
  • Expertise in Configuration Management tools such as Ansible
  • Knowledge of logging/monitoring/insights tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK 6. Recognizing, designing, and architecting modern, scalable, fault-tolerant SaaS frameworks
  • Experience with SQL-based database solutions (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite)
  • Prior experience ensuring GDPR and other regulatory compliance is required
  • Experience running services in the AWS cloud
  • Knowledge of infrastructure provisioning tools such as Terraform/Pulumi
  • Solid understanding and expertise in the Linux operating system 
  • Track record of work on security assessments and penetration tests
  • Scripting and programming abilities
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
