Job description

An FRE-listed company that is revolutionizing the automation and transportation industry with their next-gen technologies, is looking for a Senior Software Embedded Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for utilizing their skills, knowledge, and expertise to create software for embedded Linux-based charging products. The company is developing a wide range of electrical vehicles that will enable customers to reduce their carbon footprint and build a greener future. The company has managed to secure $13.3bn+ in funding so far. 

 

Job Responsibilities:


  • Ensure two-way communication to accomplish integration and transparency
  • Based on the requirements, create high-level software design documentation for the software that is being created
  • Support the elicitation of software requirements for charger products, which are utilized in validation testing, etc.
  • To guarantee the best possible code quality, create SIL tests at the unit and system levels


Job Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4+ years of relevant experience as a software-embedded engineer
  • Extensive experience working with C++-based applications on embedded Linux
  • Demonstrable experience with Embedded Systems
  • Prolific experience working with web-based communication protocols, especially gRPC, and WebSockets
  • In-depth knowledge of common build system frameworks like Make CMake
  • Comprehensive experience with CI/CD using GitLab or similar frameworks like Jenkins or Circle CI
  • Demonstrable experience with bug tracking tools, preferably Jira
  • Nice to have some experience with charging cloud protocol Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP)
  • Prior experience with charging protocols such as SAE 1772, DIN SPEC 70121, and ISO 15118 is desirable
  • In-depth knowledge of Linux kernel drivers for hardware components is preferred
  • Some experience with any RTOS (e.g., FreeRTOS, QNX, GreenHills, etc.) is nice to have
  • Extensive experience with electric vehicle charging, power conversion, and/or energy storage systems is desirable
  • Prolific experience with designing software to meet functional safety (e.g., UL1998, ISO26262, ASPICE, etc) is preferred
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
