Job description

A US-based company that is still in their early-growth phase and aims to revolutionize the financial industry with their next-gen solutions, is looking for a Senior Node.js Developer. The developer will be working closely with a team of developers, data scientists, and quantitative analysts to build world-class solutions. The company utilizes modern machine learning and algorithmic trading systems to help professional investors passively invest in public markets. They have managed to raise $100K+ during their Pre-Seed round of funding. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • To manage and deliver projects, use current software development processes and technologies like Jira
  • Using Webpack, npm, and other technologies, continuously optimize and improve front-end builds
  • Contribute to the company's fundamental UI libraries, which serve as the cornerstone for front-end development
  • Iterate on responsive designs and use organized CSS to bring them to life
  • To improve code quality, write technical design documents and conduct code reviews
  • Maintain design consistency, add new features, enhance existing ones, and improve web page performance
  • Best development techniques should be promoted, implemented, and improved
  • Take ownership of projects and identify business design gaps directly with your team and our head of product

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4+ years of relevant experience as a software developer
  • Prolific experience and knowledge of Node.js
  • Experience with efficiently creating functionality between front-end and back-end
  • Possess strong JavaScript fundamentals
  • Experience working with functional programming paradigms and composition patterns to create complex structures
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
