Job description

A fast-growing company developing non-drug options to help treat mental health illnesses better through therapy is looking for a Senior Mobile Front-End Engineer. The engineer will be tasked with defining and communicating technical and design requirements with a close-knit cross-functional team of talented professionals. The US-based company has developed multiple successful products that are offered as mental health care benefits by some of the world’s largest employers and public health care systems. During their Series C round, the company managed to raise more than $125mn in funding. 

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain reusable components for the Digital Medicine platform
  • Work with the following in mind: scalability, observability, and ease of maintenance
  • Take responsibility for, and ensure the quality of deliverables
  • Participate in the documentation of technical designs
  • Collaborate across teams to improve our engineering practices

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a frontend engineer
  • Must have expertise in React.js or React Native in production along with relevant testing development practices
  • Extensive experience with C, C++, Java, Rust, Go, and Scala
  • Knowledge of Typescript is required
  • Expertise in Redux, MobX, and Context provider is required
  • Well-versed in Hooks or Functional Programming is nice to have
  • Componentization and Modeling experience is a bonus
  • Building in cloud-based distributed systems is required
  • Experience with mobile app development like Native iOS and Android
  • Nice to have some knowledge of React Native
  • Experience with 2 out of 3 phases of a project's lifecycle, including (pre)Launch, Production support, and Legacy maintenance
  • Experience collaborating with non-engineering team members, implementing test-driven development and best practices
