Job description

An early-stage startup working with vertical SaaS Fintech to provide modern debt-collection tools to agencies is looking for a Senior DevOps/Back-End Engineer. The selected engineer will play a key role in building the company operating system to power the $18B Credit Collections industry. Founded by seasoned product and engineering professionals who’ve worked with tech giants such as Amazon, Meta, TikTok, Booking.com, etc, the company is modernizing debt collection with easy-to-use technology. This is a great opportunity for engineers who’re looking to expand their horizons and work alongside industry leaders.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Set up new development tools and infrastructure
  • Create systems to automate and improve engineering efforts
  • Analyze code written by others and share feedback 
  • Ensure all systems are secure and fortified against cybersecurity threats
  • Resolve technical bottlenecks or identify them and share with the development team
  • Collaborate with internal team members to set company goals and translate them into technical solutions

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a DevOps or Back-End Engineer
  • Demonstrable experience with Python 
  • Experience with Django would be preferred
  • Thorough understanding and practical experience with AWS (Terraform experience would be preferable)
  • Comprehensive understanding and basic usage of RDBMS (preference for PostgreSQL)
  • Experience with full-stack operations
  • Strong engineering foundation and the ability to write high-quality code
  • Excellent work ethic
  • Great to possess professional experience with JavaScript (React/Redux would be preferred)
  • Proficient in verbal and written English communication
