Job description

A U.S.-based company that is developing next-gen digital financial services is looking for an SDET Front-end Automation Engineer. The selected candidate will be in charge of overlooking the specifications of the need and giving prompt valuable input. The company is helping users and entrepreneurs to borrow, save and grow, right from their phones. The company has managed to secure more than $370mn in funding so far. This position requires 4-6+ hours of overlap with the IST/EAT time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work together with the squad leader and other important stakeholders to plan the rollout
  • In order to further improve the caliber of our product, assist and work together with cross-functional teams (Product, Data, Credit, and Business Development) to find automation opportunities
  • Maintain, review, suggest, and put into practice modifications to the current frameworks, tools, and procedures
  • Review test case coverage in our test management tool on a regular basis and keep it current
  • Take charge of the development and monitoring of post-production metrics

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as an SDET front-end automation engineer
  • 2+ years of experience working in front-end automation test tools and frameworks like Appium/Espresso/Robotium using Java/Kotlin, Jenkins or similar CI-CD tools, Shell Scripting, Linux/ Mac OSX
  • Demonstrable experience with App/Android automation
  • Experience with the BDD testing paradigm and one of the Behavior Driven Testing frameworks
  • Prior experience working in an Agile development process (Scrum/ Kanban/ Scrumban)
  • Extensive programming abilities, including knowledge of automation systems and databases, along with prior experience working as a QA automation engineer
  • Knowledge of programming scripting languages, like Java and Kotlin, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Detailed understanding of application functionality, bug repair techniques, and testing protocols
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a vast experience incorporating the execution of automated tests into the software development process
  • Excellent English communication skills
