Job description

A rapidly-growing company providing data-centric, cloud-smart solutions for businesses, is looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (Endpoint security). The selected candidate will join a world-class team of business leaders, cloud builders, networking, and security experts to test software that large Fortune 500 enterprises will use and rely upon every day. The company is trusted by Fortune 100 companies and has raised over $740 mn from top investors. The engineer will be a key member and play an integral role in the continued development of the product. The company is spread across several locations including Santa Clara, San Francisco, Seattle, Bangalore, London, Melbourne, and Tokyo. This is a nice opportunity for those who would like to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and rise quickly through the ranks. The role requires at least 6 hours of time overlap with a preference for individuals based in Asia, Eastern Europe, and Africa.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create cloud security solutions and contribute to building flexible and scalable automation
  • Collaborate with the development and design team to provide great user experiences
  • Build and implement quality processes and requirements
  • Work on replicating amazing customer environments
  • Identify and communicate risks about releases
  • Advocate and ensure solutions deliver value to customers
  • Own the release and make quality decisions for the solution

Job Requirements:

  • B.Tech /M.Tech degree from a recognized and accredited university/college
  • 5+ years of hands-on testing experience
  • Strong expertise in programming languages like Python or Java (Python preferred)
  • Good working experience in CI/CD
  • Working experience in the Linux environment, and expert with at least one common endpoint platform (OS/X, Windows, iOS, Android)
  • Experience developing tests and automation for enterprise network and security technologies (firewalls, VPN, proxies, L4-7, web gateways, PKI/TLS, etc.)
  • Experience with system/server-side for troubleshooting and automation testing on endpoint technologies
  • Understanding of build and repo management tools with overall testing cycle
  • Track record of success and consistent growth 
  • Experience with cloud technology such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Opensource technologies
  • Sound knowledge of TCP/IP, SSL, and HTTP
  •  Proficient with L4-L7 protocols such as SMTP, FTP, RSYNC, SSH, etc.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate in an open, transparent, and consistent manner with team and co-workers
  • Ability to respond to the needs of customers proactively and promptly
  • Achievement orientated and willing to take responsibility for actions
  • High level of creativity to foster originality of ideas
