Job description

A well-established company that is developing a global platform that aims to unite users across the world and help them indulge in their interests, is looking for an SDET Developer. The selected candidate will be designing, implementing, and maintaining all aspects related to testing of the company’s localization platform. The U.S.-based company is helping users to connect with others with similar interests and build a lasting community. So far, the company has securely raised $1bn+ in funding. This position requires 6+ hours of overlap with the EST/PST time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and keep up scalable, reliable testing tools and processes that produce high-quality results for all supported languages
  • Create and improve test automation frameworks, tools, and procedures that are specialized to localization, such as UI and snapshot testing
  • Define the unit, integration, and end-to-end testing vision for the i18n engineering organization
  • Initiate process workflows that make use of manual and automated quality assurance to guarantee good quality across all supported languages
  • Examine the opportunities and weaknesses in the localization test strategy, paying particular attention to how it will support the planned language roadmap for right-to-left and Chinese/Japanese/Korean (CJK) languages
  • Create techniques for quickly locating and prioritizing defects that impair localization
  • Facilitate platform audits online and mobile to determine changes needed for the forthcoming language roadmap

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as an SDET/software engineer
  • Prolific experience working with Java and Selenium
  • Experience working with automation testing
  • Familiarity with Android testing
  • Prior experience working with software localization, translation, or linguistics
  • Extensive experience designing and building scalable automated test frameworks, tools, and processes for mobile (iOS and Android) applications
  • Demonstrable experience writing, executing, and monitoring automated test suites for the web using technologies like Selenium, WebDriverJs, Mocha, Chai, and Jest
  • Strong understanding of the CI/CD process and quality checks in the workflow
  • Extensive knowledge of QA methodologies for web and mobile applications releases
  • Excellent communication skills in verbal and written English
  • Ability to efficiently describe linguistic challenges, cultural questions, and concepts to stakeholders
