Job description

A US-based cloud-based platform for end-to-end automated software distribution is looking for a Roku SDK Engineer. The selected candidate will be in charge of updating the SDK to integrate with current clients and enable impressions, analytics, and updates via their REST APIs. Businesses may transform from incoherent, disjointed DevOps to self-service, quick, secure processes that connect software delivery to business goals thanks to the company's superior technologies. The company has managed to securely raise $350mn+ during their Series F round of funding. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Iterate for updates to the Feature Management SDK for Roku and support the latest Roku devices/SDK
  • Add support for the Feature Management analytics to enable customers to understand their end users’ UX
  • Integrate Segment analytics with the Feature Management SDK for Roku
  • Add support for additional feature flag data types to the company’s SDK for Roku
  • Revamp and improvise caching of feature flag data on Roku devices to improve performance 
  • Add push notifications to make the Feature Management SDK more responsive 
  • Fix bugs in the Feature Management SDK for Roku and troubleshoot issues 
  • Implement automated tests for new functionality

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Extensive experience working with BrightScript
  • Prolific experience working with Roku SDK
  • Prior experience working with HTTP & HTTP Push Mechanisms
  • Demonstrable experience working with REST APIs
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
