Job description

A US-based cloud communications company simplifying the process for customers to communicate, collaborate and share information, is looking for a Perl Developer. The developer will join the team in a series of projects focusing on maintaining legacy reporting initiatives and performing migrations to newer reporting methodologies. The company operates as a partner-first organization that aids over 100K businesses to connect better via voice, video conferencing, chat, contact center, and several other mediums. This role offers a long-term opportunity for developers to work with an experienced team in building a highly reliable and secure platform. It requires a timezone overlap between GMT-7 to GMT+4.

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and implementation of large-scale Perl applications
  • Perform application modifications and enhancements in accordance with business requirements
  • Based on programming standards, create clean, high-quality, and reusable code
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager to ensure a clear understanding of the business requirements and expectations
  • Keep up with the most recent trends in application development techniques and technologies
  • When necessary, conduct trainings and provide advice to junior developers
  • Make recommendations for the best application development solutions to meet or exceed business objectives
  • Create best practices for coding efficiency and quality
  • In a timely and accurate manner, analyze and resolve coding issues

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software developer
  • Must have expertise in Perl, SQL, and ETL
  • Nice to have experience in MS SQL Server
  • Familiarity with SQL Server Integration Services is nice to have
  • Great communication skills, both written and verbal
