Job description

A U.S.-based company that is providing home service businesses with world-class hiring and candidate assessment technology, is looking for a Lead Software Back-End-Heavy Engineer/Architect. The engineer will be expected to recognize every stage of the software development process, including use-case study, development, debugging, and deployment. The company offers home service business owners full access to behavioral assessments that are supported by science. This position requires at least 5 hours of overlap with the EST/MST time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop the SaaS platform, both internally and externally, and work with members of a cross-functional team
  • Actively take part in talks about products and strategies 
  • Be a self-starter and hit the ground running
  • Write unit tests for automated tests easily

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a software or back-end engineer
  • Demonstrable experience working with Node.js and TypeScript
  • Prolific understanding of solid CS/SWE principles
  • Prior experience writing unit tests while using Vitest
  • Demonstrable experienced working with Serverless AWS and MySQL
  • In-depth knowledge of Next.js
  • Fluent in conversational and written English communication
