Job description

A US-based company that leverages next-gen technologies to help finance teams remain agile and assist their organizations in fast adapting to changing business situations is looking for a DevOps Engineer. The developer will be in charge of streamlining the company’s software development life cycle from requirements to monitoring in production. The company has developed a tech-driven platform to assist organizations in reducing planning and reporting time by utilizing current financial systems to speed up processes, improve accuracy, and encourage wider participation. The company has managed to raise fundings worth more than $795 mn so far. This role requires an overlap with the EST/PST time zones and is a long-term position.

Job Responsibilities:

Improve and speed delivery of products and services with tools like Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, and Git
Perform automations on typical Operations, Engineering, and QA tasks
Integrate CI/CD to curb manual testing and troubleshooting activities
Communicate clear and concise information to both developers and business stakeholders
Collaborate with colleagues and engineering leadership to define business-specific solutions
Write clean, elegant, reusable, and easily maintainable code
Boost the architectural integrity of the source code with a focus on security
Identify improvements to reduce technical debt
Perform code reviews that are effective and uphold the team coding standards

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 2+ years of experience in a DevOps role
Proficient in a programming language such as C#, Java, C/C++, and IaaS platforms (AWS or Azure)
Experience with NodeJS, Kubernetes, Docker, and Ranorex is desirable
Proven ability to learn new concepts and stay up to date with new technologies
Take responsibility for boosting the DevOps mindset within the agile teams using multiple techniques (Acceptance Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery, etc.) to provide quality products with seamless integration
Core competency in the software development life cycle, CI/CD pipeline architecture, and processes
Experience using automation tools like Jenkins, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines
Capable of performing automations with Batch, Powershell, Ruby, Python, etc.
Skilled at tackling multiple competing priorities in a rapid Agile environment
Proficiency with SQL scripts and administering MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQL servers is nice to have
Well-versed in modern application development workflows and version control systems like GitHub, Gitlab, or Bitbucket
