Job description

An award-winning design platform is looking for a Senior Android Engineer. As an engineer, you will join a team of designers and engineers from Stanford, Lyft, Apple, and IDEO to contribute in building out the company’s Android app. The selected candidate will be responsible for all feature development in the application while working directly with the CTO and product manager. The platform is known for its speed and simplicity in creating amazing digital content. It is currently used by over 2 million businesses. Experience in Android development and Kotlin is highly important in this role. This is a good opportunity for those who would like to engineer innovative solutions in a distributed and agile environment.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Own the Android app and be responsible for the development of all the features
  • Implement all functionalities and screens in the Android app
  • Build advanced applications for the Android platform 
  • Work directly with the CTO and product manager to ensure the application conforms to user specifications

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • Proficiency in Android and Kotlin
  • Experience with Firebase is nice to have
  • Knowledge of Android design principles, and Android SDK 
  • Understanding of the general mobile landscapes, trends, architectures, and emerging technologies
