Job description

An industry-leading payment solution provider for vehicles and fleets is looking to hire a Fintech Engineer. The engineer will work on the full-stack to help develop and extend the payment infrastructure. The company's platform offers end-to-end automotive CRM and inventory management programs to serve the broad needs of vehicles, including fleet managers, automotive OEMs, car-sharing services, and several others. The selected candidate will be an integral part of an A+ multi-disciplinary team and gain an exciting new opportunity to drive activities at a fast-growing fintech and automotive startup.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop, configure, test, and build Spring-based distributed applications
  • Work actively to scale a high-performance business while delivering high impact solutions for the fintech industry
  • Interface with customers or business stakeholders, gathering requirements and delivering complete solutions
  • Recognize and adopt software engineering best practices

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of experience in Maven, Gradle, Spring, Spring Boot and Security, Hibernate, JDBC
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Strong computer science fundamentals in core Java 8+, Stream APIs, algorithms, and data structures
  • Solid expertise in Object-Oriented design patterns, relational database concepts, and queries
  • Proficiency in all layers of a multi-tier application, such as RESTful Web Services
  • Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery tools 
  • Competency in writing, maintaining integration, and performing unit tests
  • Working knowledge of testing frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, and Mockito library
  • Experience with Microservices Architecture/Platforms would be a big plus
  • Demonstrable expertise with GCP, PubSubs, AWS Lambdas, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Exceptional team player with experience in the payment space 
  • Demonstrated experience in financial services and a track record working with payment companies and networks
