Job description

A US-based company that assists hotels in increasing their profit contribution by analyzing performance using NET revenue after client acquisition costs is looking for an ETL/Data Engineer. The selected candidate will be working on cross-functional projects to produce high-quality results. The company is leveraging the power of technology in the digital age to assist hotel owners, operators, and investors in gaining access to advanced metrics and assessments to help them develop a more effective revenue strategy. They have managed to raise $8.5mn+ in funding so far. This will be a full-time, long-term position and will require 6+ hours overlap with the EST time zone. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Write well-documented, tested code, and keep data integrity in mind
  • Identify and resolve technical issues, as well as produce software upgrades and solutions
  • Work closely with data scientists to support a variety of research
  • Contribute significantly to the company's long-term goals and objectives

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Prolific experience with Scala, Apache Sparks, and Data Engineering
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent leadership and time-management skills
