Job description

A US-based company manufacturing emissions-free e-vehicles is looking for an Engineering Applications Analyst. The selected candidate will be responsible for reframing existing problems, seeking efficient solutions, and operating comfortably in untapped ​areas. The NASDAQ-listed company is on a mission to reduce the carbon footprint that is caused by traditional transportation and build a more sustainable future. So far, they have managed to secure $10.5bn+ in funding. This is a nice opportunity to join an amazing and diverse team doing great work in the transportation space.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build tools and scripts and work cross-functionally on various projects and operations
  • Develop cluster tool or solutions, automating deployments, HPC job optimization, pre/post-processing workflows, alerts, usage, and performance metrics
  • Support end-users with issues, drive root cause analysis, and design task automations on a daily basis
  • Organize and document implemented solutions for long term information retention with the company’s internal dashboards and documentation system
  • Assist in documenting requirements, developing functional and technical designs for automated tools 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as an engineer
  • Proficiency in installation, configuration, and administration of several engineering tools 
  • Prolific skills in simulations, CAE tools, and web applications
  • Core development expertise in compute platforms, Linux administration, and scripting with Python, Bash, or similar languages
  • Sound coding skills using Java, React, and Rest APIs is a must
  • Demonstrable expertise in problem-solving skills and project management (Agile, Waterfall)
  • Flexibility in handling tasks, taking up, and delivering multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work effectively with colleagues and communicate well with others 
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies and applications, with the capacity to learn and use the knowledge in the computing environment
  • Knowledge of AWS Elastic Search and Kibana tools is nice to have
  • Interest in working with the engineering staff and users to facilitate learning sessions on how to use the HPC resources
  • Proficiency in installation, management, and competency with software such as compilers, scientific applications, and job resource managers
  • Experience in LS-DYNA, Nastran, StarCCM +, and Abaqus is desirable
  • Nice to have an experience with CAE, ML, Analytics workloads on HPC
  • Knowledge and understanding of network technologies such as TCP/IP and networked file systems such NFS, GFS, Lustre, GPFDS is desirable
