Job description

A fast-growing start-up focused on building the privacy API is looking for a DevSecOps Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for setting up security systems, installing/configuring Nessus/Tenable, Graylog, AWS security services, and more. The company is funded by some top investors and has raised up to $25 mn in funding so far. The platform’s data privacy vaults deliver security, compliance, and governance via a simple API. This is a good opportunity and requires time overlap with IST and PST.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and setup AWS security systems
  • Install and configure security scanning tools such as Nessus, Tenable, etc.
  • Setup log management system such as Graylog
  • Implement DevSecOps within the organization gives security to the applications
  • Ensure security in the development activities
  • Implement risk management techniques and threat modeling
  • Analyze cyber threats and present necessary countermeasures
  • Collaborate with internal teams to produce the best security solutions

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a DevSecOps engineer (rare exception for highly-skilled candidates)
  • Proficiency in back-end technologies such as Ruby, Perl, Java, Python, and PHP
  • Expertise in using DeOps tools like GitHub, dependency management, and CI/CD
  • Prolific knowledge of DevOps culture and automation tools
  • Certifications by Cisco, Microsoft, or any other organization is a plus
  • Stay up-to-date on cybersecurity threats and follow the best practice
