Job description

An emerging, NYC-based start-up redefining the traditional auction space is looking for a Core Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for supporting and growing the platform. The platform leverages Solana Wormhole, with the ability to accommodate major auction types. The company is backed by top-tier institutions and has raised up to $3 mn in funding. This is a good opportunity for those who want to join a fast-growing company and rise quickly through the ranks.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build, maintain and test components for the decentralized auction protocol
  • Develop open-source Rust clients for users to interact directly with the protocol and smart contracts
  • Collaborate with the internal research team for integrating decentralized auctions and optimizing infrastructure
  • Evaluate research ideas involving deployment across different blockchains like BSC, Polkadot, and Avalanche, etc.
  • Interact effectively with high-volume trading desks and partner operations areas to understand the day-to-day requirements and issue timely resolutions for live applications

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 4+ years of experience with Rust
  • 2+ years of experience in crypto and blockchain-related fields
  • Experience with at least two production Rust codebases that are reasonably large and performant
  • Sound knowledge of Rust idioms and libraries
  • Solid understanding of CS fundamentals such as data structures and API design
  • Strong understanding of blockchain
  • The ability to communicate technical concepts with other technical and non-technical team members
