Job description

A US-based company that has set up an efficient business management platform is looking for a Cloud Architect/Senior DevOps Engineer. The selected developer will be tasked with defining the next-generation architecture of the system to improve the platform. The company's ecosystem provides a trusted network for businesses to engage in multi-way partnering. The company has successfully raised $35 mn in funding during their Series B round. This will be an exciting opportunity for developers to rub shoulders with industry veterans and learn the tricks of the trade at a leading platform.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build efficient, scalable, reusable back-end infrastructure to power the web and mobile application
  • Develop automation and tooling to enhance software and systems
  • Create tools to enhance developer efficiency and effectiveness
  • Scale the platform performance, using data to oversee product and overall user engagement 
  • Carry out analysis and propose areas for improvement

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 6+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Deep understanding of programming languages like Python, Java, and Go
  • Excellent Linux skills and related technologies
  • Familiarity with Bash, AWS, and GCP
  • Experience with containerization like Kubernetes and Docker
  • Experience with databases like PostgreSQL and MySQL
  • Great experience with Git and Bitbucket
  • Proficiency in web application development 
  • Hands-on expertise in the development of large scale web applications
  • Expertise in web application performance tuning
  • Ability to stay updated with the latest and evolving cloud technologies
