Job description

As a Protocol developer, you will work on the Protocol components that act as the world’s first context aware peer-to-peer network. The company functions as a protocol and an open network that enables its users to gain control over all aspects of their digital lives. Job Responsibilities:

  • Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes
  • Produce high-quality results by leading and contributing to cross-functional projects 
  • Actively own features or systems and define their long-term goals and objectives
  • Build and maintain scalable and well-documented stacks 
  • Identify errors and fix bugs in the software applications  
  • Upgrade, test, and deploy software with the latest features 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software developer
  • Knowledge of Golang and Go’s standard library, concurrency primitives, tooling, and testing practices
  • Prolific skills in libp2p or any other P2P networking stack
  • Deep understanding of software development best practices
  • Consensus Protocols, Distributed Hash Tables, Log Replication, and P2P Networking experience 
  • Knowledge of Codecs- Streaming and Compression Algorithms
  • Familiarity with the compilers - Assembly languages and Virtual Stack Machines
  • Must have general blockchain knowledge - Ethereum & EVM fundamentals, IPFS, Libp2p, etc.
  • Curiosity about Proof-of-Stake, consensus algorithms, decentralization, public key cryptography, and related topics
  • Proficiency in English
