Job description

A NASDAQ-listed crypto currency trading platform based in the US, is looking for a Back-end Developer. The developer will be responsible for creating user-focused products to improve the user experience. The company is focused on creating an open financial system where merchants and consumers can transact with new digital currencies like Ethereum, bitcoin, and Litecoin. The company has managed to raise $547.3mn in funding so far. This role requires some overlap with the PST time zone.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work on deploying and connecting front-end elements with server-side features
  • Work closely and assist product and engineering to develop efficient products
  • Perform optimization tasks for faster execution and fix scalability issues
  • Upgrade and fix security features & data protection practices
  • Work on designing & building APIs, data storage solutions & other engineering projects
  • Communicate regularly with different teams for development purposes

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in back-end development
  • Must be an expert at Ruby on Rails or Golang
  • Skilled at REST API design methodologies, session management, etc.
  • Must have ability to use code versioning tools such as Git
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3)
  • Work with a analytical and problems solving mindset 
  • Interest in cryptocurrency will be an added advantage
  • Should possess strong interpersonal skills and fluency in English
