Job description

A NASDAQ-listed company building the world’s first digital infrastructure company is looking for a Back-End Ruby on Rails Engineer. The engineer will be working on developing efficient and reusable back-end systems. The company is providing data center services for enterprises, businesses, and organizations. It has raised more than $1bn in funding so far. This will be a long-term role requiring 4+ hours of overlap with the CST time zone. 

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Upgrade the current Rails versions and split the database model
  • Develop different solutions from scratch and work on existing applications
  • Actively analyze website performance and take decisions to make necessary improvements
  • Identify and fix performance-related issues
  • Write and maintain codes, tests and participate in daily virtual standups 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
  • Extensive experience working with Ruby on Rails 
  • Familiarity with RabbitMQ and Kubernetes is desirable
  • Fast learner with a problem-solving attitude
  • Excellent English communication skills
