Job description

A leading healthcare company that manufactures and distributes an extensive product portfolio and patient-care solutions to help healthcare providers excel is looking for an Azure Ops Specialist. The candidate will work with a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and monitor the website using several diagnostic tools to respond to site alerts and helpdesk tickets. Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze performance requirements, test cases, execution, and results
  • Be a part of the Operations team and assist the website in an on-call rotation basis, managing site issues, outages, and releases
  • Perform root cause analysis for system and app issues
  • Troubleshoot and help resolve system and software issues 
  • Work successfully in an Agile environment partnering with the Scrum teams
  • Identify the root cause of issues and design optimal solutions
  • Discover software development anti-patterns, provide innovative solutions, and design patterns
  • Define software development best practices and mentor other developers
  • Participate in daily stand-ups and provide regular updates on the tasks
  • Actively develop and implement innovative Azure cloud solutions
  • Design, implement and support Azure solutions to meet technical, security, and business requirements
  • Undertake technical reviews to ensure that the company’s goals are being met 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 10+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer 
  • Extensive experience in Java/JEE & Azure
  • Prolific experience with Oracle databases & SQL queries
  • Prior experience in Apache/Tomcat Webserver 
  • Demonstrable experience in cloud-based (Azure specifically) application/service architecture, including deployment and scaling
  • Proven Azure automation experience
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and supporting Active Directory and Azure AD solutions is preferred 
  • Must have a minimum of 5+ years experience supporting Java/JEE based web applications across Dev, QA, and production environments
  • Proven experience performing root cause analysis for system and app issues
  • Experience in Java performance profiling (including thread and heap dump analysis) to help debug issues around memory leak, thread, JDBC connections, sessions, etc., is preferred
  • Solid experience with various monitoring tools such as AppDynamics (preferred), New Relic, Splunk (preferred), Extrahop, vSphere, Solarwinds Orion etc.
  • Experience with Apache/Tomcat web servers and JBoss application server (v 7.x) is required
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relational databases (Oracle) and SQL queries
  • Prior experience on J2ee application stack, load runner, web load, or similar tools
  • At least 2+ years of experience in analyzing performance requirements, scripting, and analysis of results 
  • Proven hands-on experience in Azure Cloud Services, DevOps, Docker Images, Containers, Kubernetes, Distributed Cache: Redis, Distributed APM solutions
  • Solid experience using Azure Automation, Azure CLI, PowerShell, Terraform, and ARM templates
  • Comprehensive knowledge of infrastructure solutions, specifically in relation to Microsoft Azure, platform migration, system security, enterprise directories, and cloud technologies
  • Experience in design, implementation, and support of sophisticated Azure infrastructure solutions (IaaS & PaaS)
  • Monitoring, alerting, and logging tools (Azure Monitor / Log Analytics) experience is preferred 
  • Experience in Azure HA/DR, scaling and backup solutions (ASR, Azure Backup, Scale Sets) is required
  • Strong background in designing, implementing, and supporting Active Directory and Azure AD solutions
  • Experience with RBAC and MFA is preferred 
  • Familiarity using Azure network topologies, including VPN gateways, next-generation firewalls, and ExpressRoute
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (AKS) is a bonus 
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities within a dynamic work environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Prior experience in Healthcare or Insurance/Financial services domain 
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
