Job description

The engineer will be responsible for optimizing and troubleshooting data pipelines and data models. Job Responsibilities:

Ensure the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of data
Demonstrate a favorable attitude toward ongoing learning and a willingness to adopt new perspectives
Technical solutions should be documented and communicated to both technical and non-technical audiences
Keep abreast of new AWS data technologies and assess how they may affect our current systems

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 4+ years of relevant experience as a data engineer
Extensive experience working with AWS, PostgreSQL, and Talend Open Studio
Familiarity with AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, Amazon Redshift, and Snowflake is nice to have
Prior experience using multidimensional data modeling, data ingestion frameworks and tools (Talend), data mining, and segmentation techniques on three or four projects
Demonstrable experience building data apps using AWS Cloud Services and curating and creating data pipelines
Experience with Database programming at an advanced level (AWS Redshift, SQLDW, PostgreSQL, SQL expert)
Extensive knowledge of user-defined functions (UDF) and stored procedures
Comprehensive understanding of data warehouse ideas and multidimensional modeling (Star Schema and Snowflake)
Strong background in data pipeline development in multi-cloud environments like AWS and Azure
Ability to communicate well with business users, Product Owners, and technical peers
Nice to have a solid familiarity with serverless architecture, such as Spark, Amazon Glue, and Lambda functions
Some experience with agile approaches and working in product development agile teams
Possess a high degree of independence and flexibility
Great analytical and problem-solving skills
Solid experience working on multifunctional teams in the LATAM region is desirable
Some understanding of the Spanish or Portuguese language
Excellent English communication skills, both conversational and written
