Job description

A US-based virtual card and investment research platform, is looking for an API/Data Engineer. The engineer will be primarily responsible for working with data engineers and engineering leads to integrate various third-party data sources into the platform. The company helps customers to get transparent, real-time market data to make more informed decisions on marketing investments and has managed to raise $5.6mn in funding so far. This role requires some time overlap with the PST time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Integrate various third-party data sources into the platform
  • Work with a cross-functional team and the data engineers and engineering leads
  • Take charge of the OAuth work, data pipeline work, and API work to surface relevant data sets in various formats

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of relevant experience as a data engineer/API engineer
  • Experience with Python, PostgreSQL, API  engineering, and AWS
  • Strong knowledge of SQLAlchemy, FastAPI, Pydantic, AWS Lambda, AWS Redshift is nice to have
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
