Job description

A U.S.-based company that has successfully set up and operates a chain of music instruments and, amplifier stores across the country, is looking for an Apache Pinot Engineer. The engineer will be working in close collaboration with other team members to develop solutions for highly complex problems. The company has established itself as the world’s largest musical instruments retail store by providing customers with the best gear at the guaranteed lowest price. The company has securely raised more than $30mn in funding so far. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain necessary documentation for the project
  • Serve as a mentor and assist cross-functional teams and engineers in locating solutions to development-related issues
  • Express the team's requirements to the company leadership
  • Stay informed and updated on new technologies and implement them cautiously

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4+ years of relevant experience as an Apache Pinot engineer
  • 4+ years of experience working with Kafka
  • At least 3+ years of experience working with AWS Lambda
  • Prior experience setting up REST API endpoints on Pinot
  • Nice to have some knowledge of S3 with Python coding
  • Fluent in English communication, both written and spoken
